The Syrian Automobile Club continues in its effective role worldwide, as it is once again represented in the FIA Sporting Commissions to develop Motorsports internationally.

The World Motorsport Council elects members for commissions in all motorsports fields, to contribute in developing the FIA Championships, and its regulations, to various racing series. 

Mr. Hani Shaban, Vice President of the Syrian Automobile Club, was re-elected in the Rally Commission, and the Volunteers Commissions in Motorsports. 

In addition, and in a move that reflects the tremendous progress that Drift Racing is undergoing in Syria lately, Syrian Automobile Club board member Dr. Mazen Murad was elected as one of the members in the FIA Drift Commission.

This resembles the importance of the Club’s role in developing Motorsports, and setting the right standards, according to the FIA.
